Meet the Future Homeowners

A Habitat home is a foundation for our family. A foundation we help build from the ground up. An accomplishment to enjoy and prosper from for many generations.”

~From Logan and Danyelle Angel’s application letter

For Logan and Danyelle Angel, buying a home together was a dream they shared since childhood. They grew up a few blocks away from each other in Asheville, and met at a friend’s birthday party when they were just 11 and 12

As Danyelle put it, “We hung out every day, riding bikes and playing tag; we became best friends and even wrote to each other when my father was transferred to a military base in Heidelberg, Germany. Now with three children of their own, they look back on that time, in awe of how young they were when it all began. It was an ideal childhood, and one that they wanted to extend to their children.

Logan earns a fair wage as a medical assistant at the VA Medical Center, but affordable rentals in Asheville are far and few between. When their kids started asking questions about the drug paraphernalia they found in their neighborhood, their search for safe housing became top priority

The Angel’s will purchase a 4 bedroom, 2-bathroom single family home to be built in a neighborhood of 12 homes in Candler, on Habitat’s Curry Court. As Habitat Homeowners, Logan and Danyelle will be able to provide their children with safe neighborhood to ride bikes and play tag, while having the peace of mind and stability that affordable homeownership will offer.
