Our Products
Our inventory changes daily, but between the two stores we generally carry the following items:
Antiques/Vintage/Unique Items
There are always antiques at the ReStore. We receive donations of antique furniture, decorative items, toys, musical instruments, household items and more. We also receive vintage furniture, stereos, and other unique or unusual items. Those that are rare or collectible often command a higher price and are incorporated into our bi-monthly Silent Auction at the Asheville ReStore.
Appliances
You’ll find find gently used appliances at bargain prices at the ReStore. Refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, washers and dryers as well as small appliances like microwaves and toaster ovens are common inventory at the ReStore. Uncommon, however, is our 30-day warranty (store credit) on appliances. Thanks to a dedicated group of repair volunteers, all appliances are tested and repaired, if necessary, before items are placed on the showroom floor.
Art, Books, and Music
Vinyl collectors take note: the Asheville ReStore has an unmatched collection or vinyl records covering all genres. We also sell CDs. Avid and casual readers alike will delight in our selection of hard cover and paperback books that sell for as little as $1. We have some great arts and crafts books as well as a nice collection of art. And a bonus: Warren Haynes fans can buy Warren Haynes, Govt’ Mule, and Christmas Jam merchandise at the ReStore!
Building Supplies
Shop the ReStore before you pay full retail because you just never know what you’ll find! We might have the exact door, window, plumbing fixture, tile or lumber you need. Or, you might find something different, and maybe even better, than what you had in mind. Thanks to many partners, we sometimes get bulk donations of brand new merchandise.
Doors and Windows
The ReStore has a constant supply of donated doors and windows. We usually have a steady supply of bifold closet doors, solid wood and hollow core interior doors, screen doors, and exterior doors. We also tend to have new and old windows—perfect for both a builder and an artist to reuse! Inventory is always changing, so if you have a specific style in mind, check back often.
Electronics
We sell flat panel TVs, stereo systems, components and speakers. All electronics are tested (and repaired, if minor) before they are put on the showroom floor.
Flooring
The ReStore carries a continual supply of brand new porcelain tile and laminate flooring, complete with attached underlayment. There are lots of colors and styles to choose from! We also sell donated flooring such as hardwoods, rugs, linoleum, and other flooring products. Stop in to see your options!
Furniture
Voted “Best Used Furniture Store” in Asheville!
Looking for an inexpensive couch and lamp for your college dorm? Maybe you have a vacation home you need to furnish. Or perhaps you just like knowing you’re getting a great deal on a quality piece.
The ReStore has a wide variety of furniture styles and types, depending on what is donated. We often get desks, bedframes, office chairs, futons, couches, bedside, coffee and dining tables…sometimes we even have church pews!
We’ve been known to have everything from colonial-era desks to art-deco dining sets to arts & crafts style side tables from the Grove Park Inn. No matter which room in your house or apartment you are trying to furnish or decorate, the ReStore has you covered.
Housewares
Dishes, drink ware, storage containers, utensils, kitchenware, mirrors, wall art, bath accessories, window treatments and more! If you use it in your home, chances are the ReStore has it! Unbeatable prices and constantly changing inventory makes the ReStore a popular choice for quality items at affordable prices.
Lighting
Are you looking for lighting but are blown away by retail prices? Visit our lighting section to see an ever-changing supply of overhead fans, sconces, table and floor lamps, exterior lighting, and more.
Sporting Goods
It’s never too late to learn a new sport! Thinking about trying tennis, but don’t want to invest a lot of money up front? Tennis racquets can be found for unbelievably low prices at the ReStore. Got a beach house without a beach bike? Or maybe you need two wheels to get around campus. The ReStore is a great place to find a decent bike for short money. Or maybe you could drop that gym membership once and for all if you just had a treadmill in your basement. ReStore inventory is ever-changing, but treadmills and other home-gym equipment is fairly common. Being in Asheville, we also get donations of camping and hiking gear.
ReStore Register Round Up Program
In 2019 the Asheville ReStores started a program call the Register Round Up. With every purchase made at the Asheville ReStores, shoppers have the opportunity to round their purchases up to the nearest dollar in support of a monthly local nonprofit of choice. Thanks to the generosity of our shoppers, we have donated more than $105,000 to local nonprofits. The ReStore Silent Auction has reopened!
In May 2005, the auction was conceived of and developed by volunteer Alan Williams. Since its inception, the Silent Auction has raised over $1 MILLION for Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity!
Each auction has an average of 70 unique items, ranging from turn-of-the-century furniture and antique dolls to vintage bicycles and sports memorabilia to various collectibles.
The auction area is located in the upper-level showroom of the Asheville ReStore. Please visit the ReStore between 9am and 6pm Tuesday through Saturday to see the items and place a bid.
This auction ends on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Starting at 2:00 PM on the closing day of the auction, join us in the upper-level showroom of the Asheville ReStore as we take bids in-person.
