Your company can make a difference in the quality of life in Asheville and Buncombe County. You and your employees can build a house for a family in need. And you can change their lives forever.
You can strengthen your employee teamwork and morale, receive tax deductions for your financial support, and gain opportunities for good public relations.
A company can partner with Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity in a variety of ways: providing a group of employees for a
team-building work day on one of our houses,
sponsoring a house at one of four different levels, and/or offering pro bono professional services.
We work with each individual company to create an experience that will be rewarding to both employees and to the company. We have special program initiatives with real estate companies, law firms, and banks.
Businesses can also provide tangible help to AAHH by providing in-kind donations. Contributions of new construction materials, tools, and professional services help us keep the cost of house building as low as possible. Contact
Jim Lowder, Director of Development, for information about what we currently need and how to make a donation of building materials.
Donations of building materials, home furnishings, appliances, cars, boats and trailers can be made to our
Home Store. Call the store at (828) 254-6706 for information about donations and to make arrangements to have your items picked up.
We are always looking for land on which to build houses. To discuss a land or property donation, contact
Lew Kraus, Executive Director.
