Support Hurricane Helene Long-Term Recovery

The road to recovery is long. We will need all your hearts, hands, and gifts in the months and years to come. Please read below to see how you can play a pivotal role in helping Asheville Habitat and our community recover and rebuild. Thank you!

Disaster Home Repair

Home Repair Burton St

In the wake of Helene, we expanded our services to include a new Disaster Home Repair program, in partnership with other agencies through ARCHR (Asheville Regional Coalition for Home Repair). This no-cost program helps low-income homeowners whose houses were damaged by the storm, particularly the uninsured and underinsured.

Your gift to Disaster Home Repair will enable us to help the most vulnerable homeowners in our community.

Facility Rebuilding

Restore Donation Processing Area

The Asheville ReStore and Administrative Office on Meadow Road near Biltmore Village sustained significant damage. The muck and gut is complete, but much work remains to be done. We welcome donations to support the repair or replacement of our buildings. Not only did we lose significant amounts of merchandise, we also lost our ReStore truck fleet, fork lifts, and the revenue generated from the store.

Your gift in support of Facility Rebuilding will help us regain our operational footing.

Homeownership

Ashley And Fam

For more than 40 years, we’ve been building stable, affordable homes and we continue to do so in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The affordable housing situation has been exacerbated by the storm. What was already a shortage, is now a crisis. Habitat homes are part of the replacement housing that our community desperately needs.

Your gift in support of our Homeownership program will help more families have a place to call home and a solid foundation for the future.

Volunteer

Volunteer
Construction continues at our growing Glenn Bridge neighborhood in Arden, and we need volunteers like you to help us finish these homes. Bring your friends, coworkers, congregation, or come solo! No construction experience required and you have to be at least 16 years old. Work alongside future homeowners, neighbors, staff, and community members as we build the world we want to see- a place where everyone has the opportunity to have an affordable home.
