Meet the Homeowner

Chantel knows first-hand the harsh realities of life without a stable roof over her head. After making a few wrong turns, she found herself in need of shelter. As is often the case, when she was at her lowest, Chantel found her calling– as a resident assistant in peer support.

Through adversity and uncertainty, she navigated each obstacle, determined to get her life together, taking one step at a time. Once on her feet, she stayed true to her plan. She returned to the place she had been so determined to leave, only this time to join the staff. To this day, Chantel works for the very same shelter that had helped her in her time of need!

Today, Chantel is eager to begin a new chapter. Homeownership is not just a dream anymore but a tangible reality within reach. With a clear vision and solid plan, Chantel is excited to be on this transformative journey to homeownership.

By partnering with Habitat, Chantel will never have to worry where she will lay her head. In addition, having an affordable home will permit her to continue working in her chosen field.

About the Sponsor
