Dawn, alongside her daughter, Brittany, who has 2 daughters, have faced many challenges that have tested their strength, patience, and hope. One of the greatest challenges has been caring for Brittany’s youngest who has a rare genetic condition. This family of strong women has had to move across the county several times in search of doctors that could help.

Through those years of constant change, this family remained focused on what mattered most: keeping their family together and supporting one another. They have learned resilience, patience, and the power of unconditional love. Every hardship strengthened their determination to build a stable and secure future for the children.

After moving from Iowa to Georgia and then settling in Asheville, the opportunity to partner with Asheville Habitat represents more than just a house; it represents stability, safety, and a place where the family can finally put down roots, take a breath, and relax.
