Jessie, a single mother of 4, has always dreamed of owning a home for her family. Over the years, the family has made living in an overcrowded rental work. But she continued to dream about purchasing a home to provide permanent stability for herself and her children.

Jessie has been looking for housing stability for many years, but rising rental costs have precluded her from attaining her goal. Jessie refused to stay stuck, and decided to apply for Habitat’s homeownership program. She is determined to provide her children with permanent stability to enable them to grow spiritually, mentally, and financially.

Through a partnership with Habitat, the family will no longer worry about rising rent and having to move. They are excited to have a home to call their own; a home where they can begin to put roots down, and continue to be part of the local community. Jessie will purchase a 4-bedroom home in the Glenn Bridge neighborhood.
