About the House

TYPE: 4 Bedroom/ 2 Bath

STYLE: two-story townhome

LOCATION: Lot 73, New Heights Phase II

STATUS:

“We are so thankful for the mission of Habitat for Humanity and for the possibility of building a future where we can work hard, contribute to our community and raise our children in a safe, stable, affordable home.”

-From Holley & Seth’s application letter

Holley and Seth were both born and raised in Asheville and are now raising their children in the community they love. They are incredibly hardworking, juggling three jobs between them while caring for their three young children. Currently, all five share a two-bedroom apartment, leaving little room for their family to grow. With rising rent costs, finding a larger home has become even more challenging.

To keep up with rent and family expenses, Seth and Holley work tirelessly. Seth works a full-time day job and then heads straight to a second job, while Holley balances caring for their children with an afternoon job. They dream of having an affordable home of their own and of spending evenings together as a family instead of working extra hours.

Through Asheville Habitat’s Homeownership program, they are finally gaining the opportunity to build an affordable home—a place where their children can grow, play, and feel secure. This home is more than shelter; it represents stability, time together, and a stronger future for their family.
