Meet the Future Homeowners

“Homeownership will give us the chance we’ve dreamed of; a home of our own to grow old together in, grow closer to our daughter in, and fill us with the secure feeling of knowing it is Ours.”

-From Marc & Jennifer’s application letter

Marc and Jennifer are hardworking, family-oriented individuals who are deeply committed to trying to provide and be there all they can for their family, older and younger.  They have worked diligently to provide for themselves, their daughter and their mother, but like many families, they have found it increasingly difficult to find a large enough place for all the family due to the rising cost of housing in our area.

The couple currently lives in a small one-bedroom mobile home that is showing significant signs of deterioration, including structural concerns. The limited space makes it impossible to comfortably house their daughter or provide room for their mother, who, after health issues, now requires daily assistance. Their current situation simply cannot meet the needs of their multi-generational family.

Purchasing a home through Asheville Habitat would mean far more than owning a house – it would mean safety, stability, and the opportunity to support and be there for the family they love. A Habitat home would give them space to reunite with their daughter and care for their mother. Most importantly, it would fulfill their dream of homeownership and provide the security of knowing they have a place to call their own, creating a strong foundation for their family’s future.
