Destini was raised by a single mother who never gave up on her dream of owning a home and just recently was able to make it a reality. This same determination fuels Destini as she raises her two children while living in a small apartment that has maintenance issues, including leaks and mold. This has been a struggle as her son has been diagnosed with mold allergies and the only solution provided is a dehumidifier.

With her mom as an example, Destini reached out and applied to Habitat as she saw this as her opportunity to give her children not just a better living situation, but a healthier one. She is excited to have a home that is their own, a place where her kids have space to play and grow, a place where they are the only ones who hold the key.

As she embarks on this new journey towards homeownership, Destini welcomes this life-changing opportunity with Habitat and looks forward to creating traditions and making memories with her family in their own home.
