Family Friendly Pop-Up to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

July 25 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

WHAT: As the dog days of summer approach, on July 25, Habitat for Humanity is teaming up with Lowe’s to offer a hands-on, family-friendly pop-up celebration event to celebrate both Habitat for Humanity’s 50th anniversary and Lowe’s more than 20-year partnership with the organization.

The events will include family-friendly activities that benefit Habitat’s mission – a Habitat home stud wall to sign, a Habitat education table, hands-on crafts for all ages, and a project involving the great outdoors! Tapping into the ‘analog summer’ trend, the events are designed to encourage participants to go screen free, connect with neighbors and learn new skills – while also finding volunteer opportunities with Habitat for Humanity.

As an anniversary celebration, the events will include festive components like balloon artists, sweet treats, and food trucks. If you would like to donate home goods, appliances, tools, and more, please bring your donation to the Asheville ReStore at 31 Meadow Rd. 9 AM – 6 PM Tuesday – Saturday or for larger items, schedule a donation pickup.

WHEN:  Saturday, July 25 from 10 am to 1 pm

WHERE: Lowe’s East Asheville, 89 South Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805

WHO: Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, Carrie Burgin, ReStore Volunteer Manager, cburgin@ashevillehabitat.org
