Meet the Homeowner

Future homeowner Pascale is a single mother of two and a foster mother. Now a single mother to five children, affordable housing has been out of reach for years. Rents were rising fast, yet her income was staying the same. Purchasing a home felt unrealistic with the gap between her income and high housing costs.

Being the main caregiver for five children, Pascale refused to allow the economy to push her backwards. Pushing forward meant her foster children would not have to adapt to a new home again, and her two children would stay connected to their foster siblings. Connecting with Asheville Habitat gave Pascale hope that stable, affordable housing was obtainable.

By partnering with Habitat, Pascale’s dream of homeownership is no longer unrealistic. She will purchase a 3-bedroom townhome in the Glenn Bridge community.
