“I relocated to Asheville to be closer to my family.”

Mary stepped out on faith with the knowledge that she was led to Asheville for a good reason. Moving to Asheville enabled her to be closer to her family and to the mountains and forests she had fallen in love with over the many years of traveling here. When she decided to make the move, the frequent visits to Asheville helped Mary feel like she was moving home.

Like so many, Mary was faced with the ever-rising cost of rent in Asheville. In addition to rising rent, the increasing popularity of this region has driven up housing prices, making it nearly impossible for many residents to purchase a home. Regardless of the increase and barriers she faced, she was determined to obtain affordable housing. Mary turned to Habitat for affordable housing, she appreciates the work Habitat has done for others and she is grateful to be a part of the Habitat family.

By partnering with Habitat, Mary can create memories with her family in her new home. Mary has been approved to purchase a 1-bedroom townhome in the Glenn Bridge Community.
