Meet the Homeowner
“A Habitat for Humanity house would not only provide my family with
a safe and stable home, but also give us an opportunity to thrive and
build a brighter future together.”
~from Emilia’s application letter
Emilia is a dedicated mother and caretaker for her mother. She has always dreamed of having her own home with land where she can begin to create memories with her family. Due to the rise in rental costs, she begin to lose sight of her dream of purchasing a home.
Emilia’s drive to keep her sights on homeownership came from a promise to her daughter and parents. She promised them she would work hard and purchase a home. She stayed dedicated and determined, and ultimately decided to reach out to Habitat. The support and work that Habitat has provided and continues to provide in the community, is what encouraged Emilia to apply for Habitat’s homeownership program.
By partnering with Habitat, her promise to her family, and her dream of purchasing a home to thrive, create memories, and build a brighter future together has come true. She has been approved for a home in the Glenn Bridge community.
