Job Description: Home Repair Administrator

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Home Repair Manager, the Home Repair Administrator will oversee the management of approved families in the pipeline, act as Program Safety Coordinator and assist with the day to day management of Home Repair projects undertaken by the Construction Services department.

KNOW HOW:
Committed to the mission of AAHH, the incumbent should have experience in the construction, remodeling and repair of houses with a thorough knowledge of sound construction procedures and standards, working with subcontractors, selection of building materials and supplies, and current building codes.  Organizational and project management skills are critical to this position along with strong communication, problem-solving and computer skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist with Home Repair Project Management tasks including; inspection, scope of work development and pricing.
  2. Work in conjunction with the Home Repair Project Manager to schedule and track all Home Repair projects to insure timely completion and fulfillment of program goals.
  3. Act as primary source of information for partner families in pipeline, moving through Home Repair project stages.
  4. Act as project team leader on Home Repair projects when needed.
  5. Working in conjunction with the Home Repair Manager, purchase needed materials, tools, and equipment for Home Repair project site(s) and secure any required permits prior to project start.
  6. Work with Home Repair Manager and other AAHH Departments to maintain current and accurate program data sources.
  7. Provide Construction Volunteer Manager with proper volunteer needs to support Supervisors.  Help to manage volunteer groups when needed on-site.
  8. Manage warranty work scheduling and completion.
  9. Work with Home Repair Manager to coordinate program expansion with a goal to also increase geographic service area.
  10. Assist AAHH AmeriCorps Site Manager to fulfill all requirements on record keeping and reporting.  Work with AmeriCorps members to maximize their experience while fulfilling commitment to AAHH.
  11. Assist where necessary in other Construction Services activities.
  12. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
