From Monday\, November 30th through Friday\, December 11th\, not only will your purchase benefit artisans around the world\, it will also help create change right here in Asheville. During those two weeks\, mention Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity at the checkout counter and 15% of your purchase will be donated to us! Join us as we support our global AND local community; use your purchasing power to change the world through fair trade! \nTen Thousand Villages’ mission is to provide vital\, fair income to craftspeople in the developing world by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America.  The sale of these products helps to provide a fair wage for the artisans and enables them to pay for food\, education\, health care\, and housing. \nTen Thousand Villages is located at 10 College Street across from Pritchard Park and next to the restaurant\, Tupelo Honey. Their hours are 10am-8pm Monday-Saturday\, and 10am-4pm on Sunday. They will close at 6 pm on Tuesday\, December 8th \, for their annual volunteer appreciation party.
