The 2006 United Methodist Church House will be home to Juana Salmeron and her children.

Juana Salmeron left El Salvador four years ago to seek a better life for her children.  She has worked in housekeeping for a local medical rehabilitation center as well as private housekeeping to support her family.  Her children were able to join her last year and have adapted well to life in Asheville.  They are in middle school, have learned English and maintain high grades; both are shy, kind and goal-oriented.

The Salmerons look forward to having a home with reliable heat, good lighting and more space than the trailer where they currently live.
