PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The land for the Enka Hills sub-division was purchased in September of 2003 from a local consortium. This 16 acre parcel of gently rolling wooded land will be home to 55 Habitat families who look forward to residing in their new Arts and Crafts style houses. All houses will have interior designs that allow access for the physically challenged; exterior design will allow for minor retrofitting should a ramp for accessibility be required at a later date. In cooperation with North Carolina Housing Finance Agency and Advanced Energy Corporation, all 55 houses will be built to Energy Star Home Certification standards ensuring future homeowners with energy sensitive building standards of the highest order. Applications for
homeownership in this sub-division are now being accepted.
