The Johnstone Family
The 2007 Presbyterian sponsored house will be home to the Johnstone family. Malissa Johnstone and her son currently share a house with an extended family member; her teenage daughter is staying at another family member's house due to over-crowded conditions. The family wants to be reunited in a stable and permanent home.
Malissa has worked for almost nine years in the mortgage department at a bank. After educating herself about housing options, Malissa determined that Habitat provides the best opportunity for affordable homeownership in a neighborhood where her children can play with others.
