The Deynega Family

Lidiya and Mykola Deynega and family from Ukraine in 2004.  They came to Asheville as refugees; they had been persecuted because of their Christian identity.  While they had a home in Ukraine, it was burned to the ground by the Communists. Mykola also witnessed the murder of his father by the Communist government.

Currently Lidiya and Mykola live with their six children in a small apartment.  They seek a neighborhood and more space for their children to play and grow.

A construction engineer for 20 years in Ukraine, Mykola now works for Reuben Caldwell Drilling, Inc.

The Deynega family is eager to soon be moving into the thriving Enka Hills community.
