The Garcia Family
The Garcia Family
Sandra Garcia works as a scheduler and translator for Asheville Eye Associates.  She and her 2-year old daughter and 7-year old son currently live in a 2-bedroom apartment; Sandra and her young daughter share a bedroom.  The apartment unit has problems with mold, insulation, and leaking windows, and in the winter months, drafts are so bad that the second bedroom is uninhabitable.

Sandra moved from California to Asheville over twelve years ago.  She has worked hard to secure solid employment and worked persistently through Habitat’s application process, overcoming some financial obstacles.

Sandra is committed to providing her children with a decent, affordable home in a safe neighborhood.  She is excited about moving to Enka Hills, as the neighborhood is close to where she lives now.

The Garcia’s 3-bedroom Habitat house is partially sponsored by Bank of America.
