The Holloways
The 2006 Interfaith Community sponsored house is home to Otis and Juanita Holloway and their children.
Juanita and Otis Holloway work together, support one another, and make decisions with careful planning. Juanita wants to show her children that “good things come to people who are patient and work hard.”
Otis and Juanita have lived in Asheville for over 11 years. They have 9-year old twins, and two younger daughters, Angela (8) and Laverne (2). Each of the children has their own interests, from math, to reading, to drawing.
Juanita works at the Cracker Barrel retail store. Otis, born visually handicapped, recently left the Institute for the Blind, where he had worked for over five years. He stays home and takes care of Laverne and helps keep the house in order.
