Yurco Family
The 2007 Methodist House will be home to the Yurco Family.
Alexandru and Lidia Yurco have many hopes and dreams for their children. They came to Asheville from Moldova for new opportunities. Alexandru has works at the Ingles Warehouse as a forklift operator, Lidia has stays home with the youngest children.
Both Alexandru and Lidia are taking English classes. Alexandru volunteers at Manna Food Bank; Lidia helps with the music program at her church, and volunteers at the Buncombe County Medical Society. She was a nurse in Moldova and hopes that by taking English classes and volunteering that she will be able to obtain her Certified Nursing Assistant license.
