The Johnson family and CitiFinancial reps shovel the ceremonial dirt during the Building on the Dream groundbreaking.
Earicka Johnson and her children currently live in a mobile home with no running water. She relies on friends for water to cook and clean and the family bathes at her mother’s house. The trailer is also plagued by leaks, holes and unsafe steps.
Earicka has worked at Sytronics for seven years. She feels strongly that a Habitat home will provide her family with an environment in which to thrive. She wants her children to learn more about giving back to others and feels Habitat’s mission will give them a better understanding of community involvement. Earicka hopes her children will learn about the value of hard work by witnessing her completing the Sweat Equity requirements.
The Johnson family loves the Enka Hills neighborhood and they are excited to have the opportunity to begin a new life there.
