The Receiving Area is open Monday through Saturday. There is a morning and an afternoon shift each day.
Responsibilities in the Receiving Area include:
Assist people with donations brought to the Home Center
Sort and move items to repair or pricing stage
Assist with moving donated items to the sales room
Preparation and Repair of Large appliances
Test and clean refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and dishwashers
Make minor repairs on tested appliances
Housewares / linens
Clean and sort small housewares, dishers and knick knacks
Wash, fold and label linens
Furniture / small appliance repair
Clean and make minor repairs to donated items
Other Positions
Test small electronics (TVs, VCRs, stereos, phones, etc.)
Test computers, check operating systems and programs
The Home Store Showroom is open Monday through Friday (10:00 - 5:30) and Saturday (10:00 - 4:00). There is a morning and an afternoon shift each day.
The Volunteer Store Manager directs the daily operations of the sales area. The manager is available to help customers and volunteers. Our store managers have previously worked as volunteers in the showroom.

Stock shelves and assist customers
Move merchandise to the appropriate section of the sales area (including the building supplies)
