About the ReStore

Since 1990, Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity has operated a retail store as another source of income for our building program. The Habitat ReStore sells donated items to the general public. Proceeds from ReStore sales help cover Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity’s administrative and fundraising expenses and provide funding for our building programs. Along with Habitat homeowner mortgage payments and Habitat’s Deconstruction program, the ReStore represents a sustainable funding source for Asheville Area Habitat.

The ReStore also helps make home improvements more affordable for community residents and it diverts 1,400 tons of material from the landfill each year.
