Annual Tournament Raises $50,000 to Build House at Enka Hills!
The temperature was in the chilly 50s, causing players to don sweaters and jackets. But the emotional temperature stayed warm as everyone knew they were playing to build a Habitat house for our partner family, Jennifer Hilty and her son.
Our 14th annual golf tournament was an all-time high – literally, at over 4,700 feet above sea level at Mountain Air Country Club. 96 golfers spent the day playing one of the most unique and challenging courses in the nation.
The tournament sponsors, Beverly-Hanks & Associates and Parsec Financial Management, covered the costs of the tournament. Entrance fees for the players fund the 2006 Golf Tournament House. Participants were treated to lunch before teeing off and a buffet dinner after playing. Jennifer and Gaige thanked the players for their support. Neal Hanks, Jr., president of Beverly-Hanks & Associates, and Rick Manske, a partner with Parsec Financial Management, presented awards to the winners of the tournament.

This year’s house will be built at our Enka Hills site and will be home for Jennifer and Gaige. Construction is scheduled to begin in June.
