Habitat Home Store Silent Auction Rules
Bidders must be at least 18 years of age.
Each bidder must register his/her name, address, telephone number and bid.
Each item has a beginning bid and a minimum increment. All bids must meet the minimum beginning bids and increments or they will be disqualified.
There will be no discounts on winning bids.
No phone or e-mail bids will be accepted. Bids may be placed by a legitimate proxy but all bids must be entered in person.
All items will be sold “as is” with no refunds, exchanges, adjustments or guarantees of any kind.
Items in the glass case will not be made available for individual inspection and handling.
Each auction begins on a Friday. Auctions end at 2PM on the second Wednesday following the start of the auction. If people are placing bids at 2 P.M., the ending time will be extended to accommodate all bidders. The auction will end when all bids have been properly noted.
The highest bidders will be notified by phone. Items must be picked up by 5 P.M. on the Friday following the auction. If an item is not picked up at the appropriate time it will be placed on the sales floor at a price no lower than the highest bid.
Our goal is to offer a variety of items for auction with all proceeds going toward the building of Habitat houses in Buncombe County.
Should there be a discrepancy or problem of any kind, resolution will be made by an appropriate person from the Habitat Home Store. This person’s decision will be final.
