Homeward Bound Tours

Partner Family:
Letisha and Stefanie
Each month Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity hosts a Homeward Bound Tour for persons interested in getting more acquainted with the work of Habitat and the people that we serve.

Each tour begins at the Habitat Home Center, 30 Meadow Road, in Biltmore Village. Click here for map to the Habitat Home Center.

Participants see a PowerPoint presentation followed by a conversation with founding executive director, Lew Kraus. We then board a van and travel to a current construction site, tour a house that is being built, meet one of the regular construction site volunteers, and have an opportunity to talk with one of Habitat’s homeowner families. We return to the Home Center and conclude with a tour of the Habitat Home Store.  You are welcome to stay and browse in the Home Store showroom or ask additional questions of the staff.

Please email Jim Lowder, Director of Development, or call 251-5702, to make a reservation for a tour or to get  information about upcoming Homeward Bound Tours.
